The University of Public Service is ready to host the world final of the prestigious Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court in 2024

Budapest is a candidate to host the famous International Astronautical Congress in 2024 which is one of the most important conference of the space sector. The International Institut of Space Law (IISL) traditionally organizes the word final of its prestigious Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot court as a side event of IAC. The University of Public Service of Hungary, through its Outer Space and Social Sciences Research Center, would - if Budapest is chosen - host the famous moot court.

Therefore, Dr. Christian Feichtinger, Executive Director of the IAF and Dr. Elena Feichtinger, project manager of the IAC 2024 have visited our university last week where they met Prof. Dr. Norbert Kis, vice-rector and Dr. Balázs Bartóki-Gönczy, head of Outer Space and Social Sciences Research Center who have prestented the university and talked about the ongoing space law related projects.

"It would be an honor to host the word final of the Manfred Lachs Moot Court, which our university could provide a great venue for. We hope that the IAF will choose Budapest to host the IAC in 2024.", said Dr. Bartóki-Gönczy who has the opportunity to serve as a judge of this year's European and World finals as well.
