Outer Space and Social Sciences Research Group
The University of Public Service aims to train professionals for the domestic and international public administration, the Hungarian Defense Forces and law enforcement agencies. The University comprises the following main educational and research entities:
a) Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies
b) Faculty of Military Science and Officier Training
c) Faculty of of Law Enforcement
d) Faculty of Water Sciences
e) József Eötvös Research Center (EHRC)
the Rector of the University – stressing the importance of space law researches – has founded the «Outer Space and Social Sciences Research Group» in September 2020. The Research Group carries out its activities under the supervision of the director of the Eötvös József Research Center which is a research organization unit at the central level for the organization of priority strategic research at the University, which operates research institutes.
The Research Group is the first and only institutional research group to deal with space law, whom tasks are threefold:
- bringing together the leading researchers and experts of the Hungarian scientific life with the aim of resarching space law and space policy;
- promote the education of future practitioners and researchers through curriculum development;
- Involve the university, in cooperation with other Hungarian and foreign universities, in the international scientific cooperation through joint researches and conferences.
